I finished “My Name is Asher Lev”

The book was excellent.  Good history, good character development, I even cried a little at the relationship between him and his mother as I have a son myself.

Most important for me after reading the “Three Came Home” was the almost seamless transition I could sense of WWI and WWII, death, hardship etc and finally the death of Stalin in the “Asher” Novel. I do love history. These are some important times. Times will always be that way for those who live through them.

Books Finished

I finished ” Three Came Home” by Agnes Newton Keith.  About Japanese internment camps in Borneo during WWII leading up to the atomic bomb.

Now I am starting “My Name is Asher Lev” by Chaim Potok. It’s a Simon and Schuster book published back in 1972.  There has been mention of WWII.

I also started a Ron L. Hubbard, ” Death Quest” but it’s too much for me right now. Since I started it, I will finish it, but I want to read the “Asher” book first.
